Hanover Councillor and local lawyer Selwyn Hicks has taken on the Movember challenge.
Hicks is growing a moustache in the hopes of raising money for prostrate cancer.
He calls it a fun way to raise cash and awareness for a very worthy cause.
Hicks challenges fellow councillors, friends and residents to make a donation while he sports his new look around town.
He says prostrate cancer is a serious issue that deserves our attention.
One out of every six men in North America men will get prostrate cancer.
While Hicks tries to adjust to the fuzz on his face, he admits he’ll be glad to part with it in December.
But for now he says it’s an itchy sacrifice that he is willing to make for the greater good.
Hicks decided to take on the Movember Challenge following the example of his Mo Bros.
The Movember Challenge originated in Australia where moustaches are affectionately nicknamed “moes.”
