A study on how to move economic development in Grey and Bruce Counties to the next level is now underway.
Matt Fisher and Associates was hired by the two counties to consult with the public and gather ideas on determining the vision and role for each county.
On Thursday — Fisher met with Georgian Bluffs Council.
He spent about 90 minutes explaining where Grey and Bruce are right now in terms of development, and talked about how they counties could grow interest among developers.
Mayor Alan Barfoot says Fisher will be meeting with numerous municipalities over the next few months as he gets feedback from politicians, Chamber of commerce members and the public.
Grey and Bruce Counties want to take a strategic approach to economic development in the future, and officials say Public consultation is a vital component of this exercise.
Fisher is to report his findings and recommendations to the two County councils early in 2012.
