A Remembrance Day play written by a Sacred Heart High School teacher and performed by his students will be presented at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa this week.
The Need For Remembrance is a theatrical and multi media focused presentation that educates audiences about our past.
Teacher Robert Legacy based the play on a variety of accounts from those who were there including soldiers, snipers, pilots and nurses.
Students helped with the research.
Play Director Jocelyn King says it took a lot of hard work and time but it was all worth the effort.
She says performing the play at the National War Museum is a very high honour, as this is the first time a student production has ever been put on there.
The cast of 14 will be putting on five shows November 9th and 10th at the War Museum.
King says the one hour play is sure to touch anyone who sees it.
This is the 12th year Legacy has put on a Remembrance Day play, each year the play changes, featuring different accounts of various individuals.
