Owen Sound is still leading 30 cities in Kraft Canada’s latest contest.
The contest dubbed “Kraft Food for Families” is raising money for food banks across the country through their web site www.kraftassists.ca
Basically, you just have to give your email address and Kraft will donate one dollar to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Owen Sound.
Owen Sound Salvation Army Spokesperson Alice Wannan says they have timed it out and it only takes 18 seconds.
As long as you’re 13 years or older, Wannan says you can log on to the website every day for the next 82 days.
The city with the most votes on January 31st receives an additional ten thousand dollars from Kraft, but there’s a cap of fifty thousand dollars.
So far Wednesday — Wannan says Owen Sound has well over four thousand votes.
The Nunavut and North Bay Food Banks are second with just over one thousand votes.
Other cities in the “Kraft Food for Families” online competition include Mississauga, St. John, Charlottetown and Vancouver.
Wannan puts it this way, if you log onto the website every day until January 31st, that’s 82 dollars your providing the food bank.
