The Conservative MPP for Bruce Grey Owen Sound says the provincial government has finally listened.
Bill Murdoch supports the Liberals decision to keep the Lord’s Prayer in the Ontario legislature.
He says it’s about time the government listened to the rest of Ontario.
Murdoch says he’s never had more names on petitions about any other subject in his 18 years at Queen’s Park.
The local Conservative MPP says thousands of people from all over the riding had something to say about the Lord’s Prayer and about 90% wanted to keep it.
Murdoch was working in the riding and not in the legislature on Thursday to vote on the decision — and he was upset about that.
But Murdoch adds he would have supported the motion anyway.
