The former Jangles Restaurant property at the corner of Gustavus and Goderich Streets in downtown Port Elgin is getting a major makeover.
New owner Jeff Carver, along with his partner Roger Crane, are busy renovating the building and land that will eventually house four new businesses.
Carver says he has three businesses already lined up and ready to open next Spring, in time for the summer season.
He says the businesses will not be current downtown businesses looking to move, only to create another vacant storefront in the core.
Carver says these are brand new businesses, but he wouldn’t divulge what they are or what service they would provide.
Carver says the new building will not be named Jangles but no new name is chosen yet.
No cost of the development was given.
Carver is currently the owner of the Wismer House in downtown Port Elgin.
