28 year old Ron Ward of Wingham has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 12 years in the killing of Scott Hayes.
The sentence was handed down in London on Friday — six weeks after Ward was convicted of second-degree murder.
Ward killed the 22 year-old Hayes in a parking lot off Josephine Street in Wingham in February of last year.
During his September trial — Court heard the 28 year-old Ward pinned Hayes against a wall with a pick-up truck.
Ward’s younger brother Chris was also charged at the time but a preliminary hearing late last year found there was not enough evidence for him to stand trial.
