Friday the 13th may be the start of a lucky weekend for striking Grey Bruce Health Unit clerical workers.
They are off to Ottawa to try and meet with the Ontario Liberal Party’s Provincial Council tomorrow.
The 27 clerical workers, members of OPSEU, are hoping to convince the Provincial government to force the Health Unit to resume contract negotations.
They have been off the job for the past seven week in a dispute with the Health Unit over wages.
The workers also want Health Minister George Smitherman to launce an investigation into the Health Unit’s financialand management practices.
