Owen Sound residents will find out tonight whether they will be able to use the same bag tag that they have used for years.
Council is expected to rubber stamp a plan to hike the fees for bag tags by 50 cents to two dollars and 50 cents each.
Staff originally had planned to change the look of the tag altogether.
But Mayor Deb Haswell will ask Staff and Council to keep the sticker the same.
Haswell tells us she has heard from many people who still have weeks worth of the current tags and they are upset at not being able to use them.
The Mayor says people seem more concerned about the look of the tag than the price.
Council will also decide tonight when to start the new price — this week or next month.
