South Bruce Peninsula is turning to a microbiologist expert for insight into the Sauble Beach sewer issue.
Microbiologist Garry Palmateer, who was an expert witness during the Walkerton E.coli inquiry, will speak to the committee about microbial testing.
The presentation takes place at 9 AM on Monday in the South Bruce Peninsula Council Chambers.
Councillor Marilyn Bowman sits on the sewer and water ad hoc committee.
She says the objective is to find cost and protocol as to how they can determine if there’s a need and to take a risk assessment for the future.
Bowman says a report should be presented to council November 22nd.
The latest cost for the Sauble sewer project is estimated at just under 70 million to cover 2,510 lots.
Monday’s meeting is open to the public.
