The Victorious Living Centre will have no heat for the winter if it doesn’t get a furnace installed.
A three-day fundraiser kicks off today to try to raise the 10 thousand dollars needed to buy and install a new furnace.
Pastor Randy Kennedy says they’re holding a garage sale at the former McKinnon Motors lot on 2nd Avenue East — located right next to the VLC’s Soup Kitchen.
And he says the amount of items donated from the local community has been overwhelming.
Kennedy says they already have donations stored in a 16 foot trailer, and it is full, so they had to get another trailer.
He says there are still more items to be picked up, and you can still bring items to the sale over the course of the three days.
With the amount of positive support already being shown, Kennedy is confident they’ll reach the 10 thousand dollar goal.
The garage sale runs today, tomorrow and Saturday starting at 8 AM and it will wrap up each day when it gets dark.
