It cost 133 thousand dollars to cover the salaries and expenses of Brockton Council last year.
Mayor Dave Inglis calls it good value for the dollar.
Inglis says Councillors are dedicated individuals who put in long hours and work hard to make their communities better.
Before expenses — Brockton Councilors brought home 110 thousand dollars.
However once mileage, home office expense and conference costs were factored in — that number jumps to 133 thousand dollars.
This is down almost a thousand dollars from the previous year.
Including expenses, former Mayor Charlie Bagnato earned the highest amount — bringing home 31 thousand dollars.
Next is Deputy Mayor Rollie Anstett at 18 and a half thousand, while councillors averaged 12 and a half thousand dollars.
Inglis notes the role of councillor isn’t getting any easier — with council and committee meetings and countless hours of reading material.
