After almost two months the state of emergency in Goderich has been officially lifted.
Mayor Deb Shewfelt says Council met this morning and approved a motion to bring the state of emergency to an end.
It was imposed very shortly after the August 21st tornado and extended twice because of safety and liability concerns surrounding cleanup volunteers and professionals.
Shewfelt made the announcement to a national television audience this morning on CTV’s “The Marylin Denis Show”.
