The City of Owen Sound may keep the same bag tag sticker after all.
Council plans to approve a 50 cent increase for bag tags at its next Council meeting and staff’s original plan was to create a new sticker at $2.50 each.
But Bayshore Broadcasting News has learned the Mayor will ask Council and Staff to keep the same sticker.
Mayor Deb Haswell says it only make sense to keep it simple.
Haswell says she has heard from many people who still have weeks worth of the current tags and they are upset at not being able to use them.
Haswell says people seem more concerned about the sticker rather than the price hike.
City Council will vote on the 50 cent bag tag increase and the sticker proposal on October 24th.
