A bail hearing is now set for the woman charged in the first murder case in Owen Sound in more than five years.
After a number of adjournments, a bail hearing was set Tuesday morning in Owen Sound Court for 46 year old Erin Lees.
Lees is charged with second degree murder and will appear in person this Friday at 10 AM for a bail hearing in Superior Court.
Lees was charged after her common law husband died September 10th of his injuries at their home on 4th Avenue East.
34 year old Gary Fernando Caribou was pronounced dead in hospital.
Owen Sound Police and the OPP still have not released details about the case since the cause of death is considered evidence.
The last homicide in Owen Sound was in July of 2006, when James Morelli was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to five years in prison in connection with the death of Larry Hilsden.
