Kincardine council is going to take a look at what’s going on at the Kincardine airport.
A two page letter addressed to councillors indicates it is not the airport of choice to fly to for many reasons.
Pilot Chris McCullough says the airport is getting a bad reputation in the eyes of other pilots.
While fuel prices and an unreliable fuel system are prt of the reason, McCullough says confusion as to who is in charge of what is a bigger one.
McCullough also sites the town as not supporting the airport’s infrastructure – for example – only 2 of the 4 hangars can be used, because paved taxi-ways promised a year ago are not in place.
Council will look into the concerns further – and report back in a few weeks time.
