Owen Sound Police are hoping for the public’s help following an incident that could have been much worse.
They want to identify the person or persons responsible for throwing a beer bottle at a moving taxi.
It happened around 2:45 AM Sunday while the taxi was travelling north on 4th Avenue West with a customer.
Police say as the taxi passed the intersection of 19th Street West, a beer bottle was thrown from the east ultimately striking and shattering the front passenger window.
The female customer sitting in the front passenger seat was hit by flying glass and received some minor cuts to arm and shoulder but did not require medical attention.
Police say luckily she was not hurt worse – as a result of this senseless act.
