Lobb says the Building Canada funds that were sent out all over the riding total 53-million dollars and it could help create more jobs among local businesses.
He says the money covers projects like sewer and water infrastructure and roadwork.
Lobb says municipalities, as well as Huron and Bruce counties will look to local businesses to help them get the work completed.
Lobb says the federal budget has brought forward a few initiatives that will help out taxpayers and businesses.
He says one of the most popular programs is the Homebuilders Tax Credit for home renovations.
That tax credit was created for homeowners to claim up to 13-hundred and fifty dollars on any renovations except for furniture replacement or regular maintenance.
Lobb says the great thing about the credit is that a majority of the products you’ll buy for renovations come from Canada and will help out the lumber industry as well local distributors.
As for Economic Development, Lobb says the Southern Ontario Development Agency (SODA) will help provide stimulus to the area and create jobs through partnerships with other businesses or post-secondary schools.
