Residents on the East Linton water system in Georgian Bluffs will soon be asked to reduce their water use.
CAO Bill White says they’ve been working on improvements to that system, and they’re coming up to the point in construction where they’ll need to reduce the amount of water flowing through the system.
White says they’ll ask residents to restrict external, unneccessary, water use.
He says they’ll operate at about 60 per cent of what the system is capable of.
The changes also integrate the new water tower being constructed in the township.
White says they’ll send notice to the residents who will be affected by the change, and he expects that to happen sometime in late June.
He says it’ll be short-term, and water use will return to normal by the end of the summer.
