It was a tough night for Liberal Carol Mitchell in Huron Bruce.
The Outgoing Liberal MPP kept the media waiting until 11:15 PM before addressing supporters — even though PC Lisa Thompson was declared the winner earlier in the evening.
The former Liberal cabinet minister was taking the news hard — and, after brief remarks — excused the media to commiserates with her volunteers.
Supporters say the perfect storm of wind turbines, the Green Energy Act and the Walkerton Jail combined to show the incumbent her early exit.
Mitchell — who was Ontario’s Agriculture Minister — was seeking a third consecutive term as Huron Bruce MPP.
