50 Canadian men and women are cycling 77 hundred kilometers to raise money for Children Living with Cancer.
The Sears National Kids Cancer ride began in Vancouver on June 2nd and they will wind through Bruce and Grey Counties today.
In fact, the cyclists — with an entourage of cars and vans carrying food and clothing for the riders are expected at Sears in Owen Sound around 6:30 tonight after stopping in Tobermory and Wiarton today.
Spokesperson Steve Sokolowski says their goal is to raise awareness about childhood cancer.
They also hope to raise 1.5 million dollars for children living with cancer.
The riders are from all across Canada and they have been training for months.
Childhood cancer is the number one disease-related cause of death among children in Canada.
Approximately 13 hundred kids under 18 are diagnosed with cancer each year and 20 per cent will die of the disease.
The Coast to Coast against Cancer foundation is a national charitable foundation.
