There is a meeting in Owen Sound tonight for people diagnosed with pre-diabetes.
About 100 people are enrolled in the Health Ministry program offered by the Owen Sound Family Health Team.
They have been referred to the program by their family doctors after their blood work diagnosed pre-diabetes.
The goal of the program is for each participant to lose at least 7 per cent of their body weight and increase physical activity to a minimum of 150 minutes a week.
The diet and exercise program is designed to help prevent diabetes.
The discussion tonight takes place at 7 PM at the Grey Bruce Health Unit office.
