Various organizations in Grey and Bruce counties are taking part in a nationwide celebration of arts and culture.
Culture Days are being held from Friday until Monday, October 2nd.
Grey Roots Museum and Archives just outside of Owen Sound will put on events and workshops, including an Heirloom Preservation Workshop, at 2 PM on Saturday.
Pre-registration is required, and you will learn how to care for and store antiques and heirlooms.
On Sunday between 10 AM and 5 PM, free films and documentaries about the Great War will be screened.
There will also be a children’s activity Sunday from 2 PM until 3 PM.
The Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound will also host events throughout the weekend.
Artist Vessna Perunovich will be at Heritage Place Shopping Centre today at 2 PM, and at the Art Gallery tomorrow again at 2 PM.
Culture Days is a cross-Canada volunteer movement to raise awareness, accessibility and participation in the arts and cultural life.
Admission to Culture Days Events is free all weekend.
