The 11th annual Children’s Water Festival is underway in Chesley.
Festival Chairperson Craig Todd says the kids are enjoying learning about water while getting wet at the same time.
The festival is celebrating 11 years of teaching Grade 4 students about water conservation and protection.
Todd says each of the four days there’s about 500 students from Grey and Bruce taking part in the festival.
Todd says a popular activity this year is the aboriginal voices exhibit where First Nations members speak to kids about their spiritual connection to water.
Another popular exhibit is the shower demonstration where kids can see just how much water can be saved by using a low-flow shower head.
Todd says changing kids behaviours towards water consumption often forces a discussion at home and that’s what it’s all about.
The festival runs until Friday at the Chesley Community Centre.
