Local celebrities will be supporting the Alzheimer’s Society of Grey-Bruce, by serving you dinner.
Tonight celebrity servers will be waiting tables at Boston Pizza in Owen Sound, and the restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Community Development Co-ordinator Bill Twaddle says it’s a fun and informal night, and it gives their board members, staff and councillors a chance to interact with the community and answer any questions they may have.
Twaddle says with the provincial election on the horizon, and some meetings at the local level, it was a bit difficult to get politicians to come out this year.
But he says retiring Bruce-Grey-Owen-Sound MPP Bill Murdoch will be serving, along with our Medical Officer of Health Doctor Hazel Lynn.
He’s hopeful the fire department will be there again this year as well.
Bayshore Broadcasting celebrities will also be in attendance.
The event runs from 5 PM to 8 PM tonight.
