Three local charities have been able to add some colour with the help of a paint store.
Dulux paints has launched a million dollar, cross-Canada campaign to “add colour to people’s lives.”
Owen Sound Branch Manager Susan Ward says they’ve been able to donate paints and supplies to Habitat for Humanity and the “Love Owen Sound Project”.
She says they’re also currently helping out at Participation Lodge in Holland Township.
Ward says it’s a great feeling to be able to lift people’s spirits by adding colour to their world, and taking away drab, gray, gloomy environments.
She says a lot of people are in awe that someone is trying to help out in this way, and it’s a great initiative to be a part of.
Ward says they are looking for volunteers to help out as well as other organizations to lend a hand to.
