It appears not as many people are opening their wallets.
Only 18 percent of the respondents to our recent on-line news poll say they are helping disaster victims from around the world.
One person says we are so spoiled living in this country that it only seems right to share the blessings.
Others says helping those in need is the right thing to do and donate to World Vision and Samaritan’s Purse.
A few feel guilty about not contributing, but are not sure of which organization or cause to support.
The other 82 percent of our listeners would like to help out different organizations, but are not able to because of strapped finances.
Others are concerned that the money would end up in the pockets of the wrong people.
One respondent states that although relief efforts are important – the real cause of these disasters is global warming and that is where we need to focus our money.
