Another successful season of Cruise Nights has come to an end in Southampton.
The regular Thursday night staple ended another season on September 8th.
Organizer Gary Brown says aside from some shaky weather in June, Mother Nature provided a great summer for those showing their antique vehicles and for those visiting.
Brown says this year marked the 16th year of Cruise Nights and he believes it’s the hard work of hundreds of volunteers who make it the event it is.
This year Brown says close to 12 thousand dollars was raised through 50-50 draws and donations and all the proceeds will go towards the regional digital mammography campaign.
The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is looking to raise 300 thousand dollars towards the shared 1.5 million dollar cost for the equipment and renovations.
