The first in what is expected to be a series of meetings on the future of the Owen Sound harbourfront, is planned for early next month.
Manager of Economic Development and Tourism, Steve Furness says the public is invited to share their ideas on development of the Scenic city’s’ harbour and waterfront area.
The public meeting is set for 7 PM on October 5th at the Grey Bruce Health Unit in the lower classroom.
Furness says Harbour and waterfront development is an economic development priority for Owen Sound.
He says it is an important area of future development that continues to transform a former industrial area to a mixed use harbour.
Building on the development momentum of recent years, the City is interested in hearing about development ideas for the waterfront.
This will include ideas about utilizing the harbour itself.
Furness says the meeting is designed to generate new interest in our waterfront and to attract new investment.
