There will soon be a place to turn for those suffering with addictions.
The Grey Bruce Community Health Corporation will be responsible for the delivery of the Addiction Services program in Bruce-Grey.
Huron-Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan says they will provide addiction assessments, referrals, counselling, and support.
Twolan says there is a pressing need for this addiction services progam, especially for users of the Social Services and Housing programs.
However he says the program will be available to anyone requiring help.
Twolan says the issue has become more pronounced over the past few years with the introduction of crystal-meth into our communities.
He says drugs are an issue across the country, adding he hopes this program will benefit those who need it.
Twolan says addictions are a big problem in today’s society.
Its expected the Addiction Services will be implemented next year.
