Paul Davies says he has no reflections on the situation and says “you can’t please all of the people all of the time.”
Davies’ answer to questions about the Kincardine group calling for his resignation is “no comment.”
Friends of the Kincardine Hospital formed in November 2008 amid concerns about the hospital losing services, low staff morale, and a an alleged lack of transparency from the South Bruce Grey Health Centre Board.
The Friends want to persuade the province to let the hospital become an independent entity again, like it was before hospital restructuring in the 1990’s.
A public meeting has been held to gauge community support and the Friends are currently asking for public donations to help them develop a business plan to convince the government that the hospital could operate on its own.
Advertisements are currently in Kincardine newspapers seeking donations and petitions seeking support for an independent hospital are being circulated around town.
