Another scam has surfaced in the Owen Sound area.
This time, it’s a message claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency website and claims you are entitled to a tax refund of almost 400 dollars.
But in order to get the money, you have to fill out a form that includes personal information such as your credit card number and social insurance number.
The email also directs you to a website.
But Owen Sound Police contacted the Canada Revenue Agency and confirm the email is a fraud.
The CRA does not contact people by email.
