The South Bruce Grey Health Centre is going on a Health Kick.
The hospital group is developing ties with the Health Kick program in Huron and Perth on developing research, training programs, and work placements to attract more health care profressionals to rural areas.
Vice President of Corporate Development and Labour Relations Brenda Rantz says organizations within the health care group can apply for three thousand dollars worth of funding from Health Kick in order to support work placements.
Rantz says Health Kick is the only program of its kind that focuses only on rural health care.
She says at one time Georgian College offered health-related courses at the hospitals in Walkerton and Kincardine, and funding from Health Kick might make it possible to bring those back.
