The event has been two years in the making, and event Co-chair Joan Chamney says the entire community is looking forward to getting things started.
Chamney says much of the town is swathed in the Reunion’s official colours of green and yellow.
She says after so much preparation time there are still a number of last-minute items to attend to but it looks like things are all set to go.
Chamney says the four-day event starts Thursday night.
Chamney says it all starts with the opening ceremonies, the Reunion Ambassador competition and a wine and cheese party.
Chamney says Lucknow will host a number of former residents who have been away for many years.
She says the Reunion has attracted inquiries from Lucknow natives who live in places like the state of Indiana and the Vancouver-area in Canada.
Chamney says the event website has drawn hits from people as far away as China, Australia and Europe.
The Reunion wraps up with a fireworks display at Caledonia Park at dusk on Sunday evening.
