Marine Week begins today with the Mariners Church Service at St. George’s Anglican Church and the Blessing of the Fleet.
The blessing is a tradition and includes prayers for the safe passage of men and women sailing in and around Georgian Bay and the Great Lakes.
There are also a number of events planned this week at the Owen Sound Marine and Rail Museum and at the Royal Canadian legion in Owen Sound
