The Union has called for a town hall style meeting.
But the Board of Health is still waiting for an invitation.
OPSEU President Warren “Smokey” Thomas is planning a town hall style meeting to discuss issues with the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
Thomas wants to discuss how the Unit is being run, and where their budget is being spent.
The Town Hall Style meeting would involve OPSEU, the public, and management from the Health Unit.
Medical Officer of Health Doctor Hazel Lynn and Board of Health Chair Larry Kraemer say they haven’t received an invitation yet.
Doctor Hazel Lynn says she may or may not attend the meeting, depending on the agenda.
She adds she will attend the meeting to discuss Public Health, but not to hear complaints from OPSEU over things she has no control over.
Kraemer says before he attends the meeting he wants to know who will sponsor the meeting, and if there will be a moderator.
No date has been set for the Town Hall meeting.
