The owner of an Owen Sound restaurant says he had no idea things would blow up this much.
Dan Hilliard is the owner and chef at Nathaniels admits he wasn’t happy that one of his servers showed up to work this week with a shaved head after raising more than 27-hundred dollars in the city’s Cops for Cancer event.
Stacey Fearnell, a server at Nathaniels says she was ‘laid off’ for the summer because she wouldn’t wear a wig to cover her shaved head during her shifts.
Hilliard says they have certain standards at his restaurant prohibiting men from wearing earrings and keeping their hair at a reasonable length.
He says she was offered the summer off to spend with her kids.
As far as he’s concerned she’s still on the payroll.
