Port Elgin’s Pizza Delight location has one of the top five servers in all of Canada working at it.
Ashley Gill was recognized at the chain’s national Sales Meeting in New Brunswick last week.
She was named the Ontario-Alberta winner for the corporation back in April.
Port Elgin Store Manager Dave Middleton says Ashley competed against four others across Canada for tops.
She did win the “create an apron contest” over her four opponents.
Ashley will be serving at the store until September, when she leaves for college.
She will be attending Fanshawe College for carpentry.
More than 2 hundred franchise owners and managers were at the meeting.
Middleton says the store is also being recognized in another way.
It created a new dessert that will be showcased at all stores across Canada this July.
The new mini-indulgence dessert is called Birthday Cake.
The franchise is also boasting more than a ten per cent sales increase over the previous year.
