There are more resignations from the Owen Sound Downtown Improvement Area board.
Board members — treasurer Dale Bruce, Linda Stemmler and vice-chair Rebecca MacVicar all quit the DIA board this past week.
Councillor Peter Lemon and current DIA representative says he is not sure of the whole reason why they decided to quit.
He says it may stem from recent administration changes regarding the DIA’s budget and transparency.
Lemon says there has been a movement towards the DIA being more open, visible and transparent with its business members.
A letter has been sent to city council about concerns with the DIA.
Lemon says he has received a copy of the letter, adding he feels there is good legal reason not to make the letter public.
He says the letter contains some legal implications and will most likely be dealt with privately.
Lemon says the DIA has undergone some recent changes when Executive Director Peggy Moulaison and Promotional Coordinator Lisa Tooke quit their jobs in February.
Former chair Anne Asten also resigned earlier this year.
