Founder Dennis Valenta says his only goal is to eventually have Family Court recognize and change laws so that the childs need to know and be loved by both biological parents is preserved.
He spoke on Sounding Board recently, where he said this means that when you separate or divorce you will share equally, time with, and cost of raising children.
Valenta believes it is best to have parents draw up a parents plan.
This would decide where the child/children will live, how much money it will take to raise, and how much time the other parent will have with the child/children.
Currently support payers face jail time for non-payment.
Valenta says under his proposal you face jail time for not sharing the child/children and related costs, or non involvement.
Valenta says his own divorce experience is what lead to opening this centre, and advocating for these rights.
