Owen Sound Police may have found the minivan involved in a pursuit… all the way in Arthur.
Police tried to stop a maroon Chrysler minivan Wednesday afternoon in the area of 7th Avenue East and 6th Street, where the driver ran a red light.
However, police are now telling us they initially tried to stop the van after observing suspcious activity in a nearby parking lot, which they believe was drug related.
An officer involved in the incident fired one shot at the van, when the driver steered the vehicle onto the curb and toward the officer and a pedestrian.
The abandoned van was found outside an Arthur business, and the business owner called Wellington OPP.
OPP are holding the van.
An Owen Sound Police Forensic Identification officer will examine the van tomorrow, to see if a hole in the left side of the vehicle is a result of the shot fired by the officer.
The van had been reported stolen from the Waterloo Region on Sunday.
The plates on the van were also stolen from another vehicle in North Perth County.
