Listings are at a decade-high — but despite the selection, home prices are still up in Grey Bruce.
Figures released by the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound show the average price in August was 223 thousand dollars — up two per cent from the price a year ago.
President Trisha McKeeman says with 225 homes sold last month in the area — it was the strongest month for sales this year and the best month of August in four years.
There are nearly 21 hundred homes listed with MLS in the Grey Bruce Owen Sound area, which is up 13 per cent from the number of listings last August.
McKeeman says it will be interesting to see if prices continue to climb, despite the number of properties available to buyers.
