The search is on for a new public works manager for South Bruce Peninsula.
Mayor John Close says they’re looking for a replacement for Phil Dwyer who recently resigned the position for health reasons.
Close says in the meantime, administrative staff is closing ranks to get the work done.
He says the town is advertising for a replacement and they have received a few applications and will continue to accept resumes until September 30th.
Close says they’re sorry to see Dwyer go.
He says Dwyer previously retired to the area after a career in Toronto when he decided to give public works managing another shot here.
However, for health reasons he has decided to step back into retirement.
