A black bear has been spotted on Olde Victoria Street in Kincardine.
South Bruce OPP say the animal was seen just before 11:30 PM on Monday night.
A bear was also spotted in Saugeen Shores last week — but there’s no word if its the same animal.
The OPP remind residents to keep your property clean and be extra careful when storing of disposing of garbage.
Black bears are intelligent, adaptable predators with a biological instinct to eat whatever they find, wherever they find it.
They are an anti social animal and the main population control is the availability of food.
In 2007, the leading attractors for bears were:
Residential garbage
Bird feeders
Fruit trees
