You may have remembered the cyclist who stopped in Owen Sound in July while riding across Canada.
Ilan Levy was in Owen Sound on July 28th as he cycled from B-C to St. John’s Newfoundland.
Well, the 58 year old Levy completed his ride and he raised 82 thousand dollars for the ‘SchoolBox’ initiative.
Donations are still being collected until the end of the year, and Levy’s goal is to raise 100 thousand dollars.
The money will go to the purchase of eight thousand educational packages and the construction of eight classrooms in Nicaragua.
