There’s a new website on line and it’s dedicated to Bruce County seniors.
Bruce County Public Library Director Marzio Apolloni says www.bruceseniors.com brings information on goods and services that would interest the growing senior population in our region.
Apolloni told Bruce county Councillors recently that this is the culmination of work funded by municipalities in the county.
He says a while back, each community was given five thousand dollars to set up a seniors website and it was decided that they would pool their money and build one site good for all.
Apolloni says seniors don’t care about municipal boundaries.
They just want help and services when they need it.
Apolloni points out the site is user-friendly and even allows for the font to be increased for those with sight issues.
The website highlights local, provincial and federal links that will help seniors with the problems they face.
Apolloni calls it the “one-stop-shop.”
