Seven people were injured and taken to hospital after a head-on collision on Hwy. 6 north of Wiarton on Thursday.
The crash happened about 1:10 PM, just north of the intersection of Highway 6 and Bruce Road 9.
Bruce Peninsula OPP Constable Dave Meyer says all seven people were taken to the Wiarton hospital, and an 8-year-old girl was later transported by air ambulance to Londons Sick Kids hospital.
The crash, which involved two cars, resulted in Highway 6 being closed all afternoon and traffic was detoured around the site.
Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigators were called to the scene to investigate.
Constable Meyer says the people involved were from Thornhill and St. George, Ontario.
No names have been released.
Highway 6 was still closed until after 7 PM on Thursday.
