Listings are up, and home sales are down in Grey Bruce.
Figures released by the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound show 214 homes were sold in July — which is down six per cent from the level of a year ago.
Meanwhile, the number of homes listed for sale jumped by 25 per cent from a year ago to 436 units — bringing the total number of homes on the market to over 21 hundred.
That is the highest level in a decade.
The average price for a home in July was up by four per cent from a year ago at just under 220 thousand dollars.
The dollar value of all homes sold last month was 47 million dollars, which is down about two per cent from the level in July of 2010.
