A 30-year-old man is going to spend more time in jail after using bear spray in a robbery attempt in Owen Sound.
Michael Kirkby pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and possession of a prohibited weapon.
He was sentenced to nine months in jail and given credit for 13 days in pre-sentence custody.
Kirkby was also handed an 18-month probation term and he is also banned from owning a weapon for life.
Kirkby was charged in April after a man used bear spray inside the Coach Inn to incapacitate victims to rob them.
