The clock is ticking on the expansion project at the Kincardine Davidson Centre.
Even with the extension of the federal and provincial government’s stimulus funding program to October 31st this year — some councillors are worried the project won’t be completed and they’ll lose some of that grant money.
Recreation committee chair Councillor Ken Craig says he’ll have a more detailed report on the work being done in the future.
Council also has voted to get the architect and contractor to a council meeting to give their opinions on the progress of the 4-million-dollar expansion.
Craig says he’s sure the project will be done on time.
He says everyday there are significant improvement and changes being made.
He says they’re drywalling and installing flooring and railings for the track in the new gym area.
